Directory
Create directory entries
Create a new directory entry
Using the handset:
1. Press the MENU soft key when the handset is not in use.
2. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to DIRECTORY and then
press the SELECT soft key.
3. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to Add contact, then press
the SELECT soft key. The screen shows ENTER NUMBER.
4. Use the dialing keys (0-9) to enter the number.
Press OFF to backspace and erase a digit.
Press qCID to move the cursor to the left or pDIR to
the right.
Press and hold REDIAL/PAUSE to insert a dialing pause
(a p appears).
5. Press the NEXT soft key to move to the name. The screen
displays Already saved if the number is already in the
directory. You cannot save the same number twice.
6. The screen shows ENTER NAME. See the Character chart
on page 39. Use the dialing keys to enter the name.
Press OFF to backspace and erase a character.
Press qCID to move the cursor to the left or pDIR to
the right.
7. Press the SAVE soft key on the handset to save. There is a confirmation
tone and the screen shows the saved entry.
Using the telephone base:
1. Press the MENU soft key when the telephone base is not in use.
2. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to Directory and then
press the SELECT soft key.
3. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to Add contact, then
press the SELECT soft key. The screen shows ENTER
NUMBER.
4. Use the dialing keys (0-9) to enter the number.
Press CANCEL to backspace and erase a digit.
Press qCID to move the cursor to the left or pDIR to
the right.
Press the PAUSE soft key to insert a dialing pause (a
p appears).
